Today I would like to share with you some creations which features Close To My Heart’s Featured collection – Comfort and Joy.

Christmas Card #1

My first card is a Christmas card that I created for the CTMH card swap group for September that I’m apart of. The brief was to use embossing and a thin cut.

I used a snowflake embossing folder on the white daisy card stock and used one of the new colours Scarlet underneath.

I used circle thin cuts in 3 different sizes to create the Christmas tree however I needed a really small circle too.

After trying different things, I found in the number thin cuts that there was a small circle that was to use as a dot however it worked well for what I needed.

To finish off the card, I cut a star out using the Cricut and stamped my sentiments in Evergreeen and sponged it around the edge.

Christmas Card #2

Also with the card swap group, I received a Pop up Cube Card as one of the cards for our fathers day cards.

I though this was so cool, that I had to recreate it and what was great is that it folds flat for easy posting.

I found an example on Pinterest for follow and this size fits our standard envelopes.

Below are 2 cards I created using Comfort and Joy paper and sticker sheet.

Below are the measures that I used

  • One card base strip cut at 3 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
  • Two card base strips cut at 1 3/4″ x 8 1/2″
  • Then score all the strips at 1 3/4″, 3 1/2″, 5 1/4″ and 7″
  • The B&T papers are cut at 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ and you need 6 of these
  • Then decorate as you like however make sure that you stay with in the card or it will not fit in your envelope

Scrapbook Layout

For my scrapbook layout, I used the creative insider for Comfort and Joy however I used different paper and embellishments.

I added a mini envelope to my page using the mini envelope thin cut and the Santa is from jolly characters stamp set. I just thought they look so cute I had to use them somewhere.
